You know when you have a bunch of clothes you want to throw out?! You realize that you don't wear half of the stuff you have in your closet....and then you have to clean it out because your parents find out! We were going to throw out a bunch of t-shirts, but I had the brilliant idea to recycle and use them for a post for my blog! I used most of the fabric for the bows I posted about earlier. But then as I was about to throw away the seams to the t-shirts, I realized you could use them for cute bracelets. Here is how you make them. |
Supplies:
T-Shirts
Fabric Scissors
Sewing Machine, (or needle and thread to hand stitch it)

First, I cut the seams off of the t-shirts. If you used two t-shirts, you will have one seam left over. You can also do a five strand braid and use 3 t-shirts. After this, I sewed all three of the seams together at the very top with little seam allowance.
Next, I started on my braiding. It would probably be a good idea to set something heavy on the end so it would be easier to braid.
After this, knot it at the end. Then you will realize there is a little hole at the end of the bracelet where you sewed the seams together. You can push the knot through the hole and then slip it on your wrist!
By the way, my sister Marcella is modeling for this post. She is so excited to be on my blog, and I didn't have to pay her anything! Win win!!!!
